PM convinced of greater socio-economic achievements in 2023

Speaking at the government duty meeting, he pointed out that the 2023 Lunar New Year holiday was celebrated with peace, joy and unity happiness such as the goals set by the secretariat of the Central Committee of the Party and the government, giving new energy and a new breath for the whole nation to enter the new year.

Regarding the key tasks after the Lunar New Year holiday and in 2023, the head of government asked the ministries, bodies and localities to get to work quickly, not to organize spring excursions which affect the pace of production activities and of business.

Within their respective fields of competence, they must concentrate on the implementation of the tasks and solutions provided for in the resolutions of the Party, the National Assembly and the government, in particular resolution n ° 01 / NQ-CP dated January 6 2023 of the government on the main tasks and solutions to implement the socio-economic development plan, the provisional state budget, and improve the business environment, raise national competitiveness in 2023, he said. .

Overcome limitations and obstacles

He urged the ministries, organs and localities to create an enthusiastic atmosphere, strive to complete the assigned tasks from the beginning of the year to contribute to the successful implementation of the goals, targets, tasks of the plan of socio-economic development by 2023.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh asked to focus on accelerating the disbursement of public investment capital, implementing three national target programs and rolling out the construction of the National Data Center.

Relevant ministries and sectors should revise the allocation of spending from budget revenue sources to focus on addressing issues such as spending on salaries, security, defence, transport infrastructure and to social infrastructure, he continued.

It is necessary to overcome limitations and obstacles, especially external difficulties, to create a legal corridor to release resources for development, including the modification of the government decree on trade in fuels, he said. .

The preparation of goods was actively implemented by localities, enterprises long before the Lunar New Year holiday, resulting in an abundant supply of goods to stable goods.

The 63 localities have spent about 9.500 billion VND to help more than 25 million people benefiting from social policies, poor workers and households in difficulty.

The electricity supply situation by the national power system during the Lunar New Year festival was stable. Transport, traffic order and safety and communications are maintained.
